My Story
Sebastian Hernandez Sanchez is an immigration attorney and the founder of Hernandez Sanchez Law LLC, an immigration law firm based in Bluffton, South Carolina, that focuses on offering a full spectrum of immigration services. His expertise lies in helping victims of human trafficking navigate complex immigration relief options.
A Colombian immigrant, Sebastian moved to the United States at the age of seven, settling in Beaufort County, South Carolina. He earned his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law, where he was a Center for Social Justice Scholar and President of the Immigration Law Society. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in General Economics, magna cum laude, from Armstrong State University.
Sebastian’s legal career began with a strong commitment to public interest work. While in law school, he interned with the American Civil Liberties Union of New Jersey, where he contributed to immigration-related legal research, and with the Honorable David B. Katz at the Essex Superior Court. His dedication to immigrant rights led him to work with the American Friends Service Committee, assisting detained immigrants.
Before launching his firm, Sebastian gained extensive experience as a law clerk at Devine and Beard Law Firm, later working as an immigration consultant for Garcia & Ramirez Law in San Antonio, TX, and as an immigration attorney at Elizabeth Rosario Law PLC. Through these roles, he developed a deep understanding of humanitarian-based immigration relief, asylum, and removal defense.
